Faith gatherings across the region this week include a women’s conference in Coeur d’Alene, a Buddhist meditation social in Seattle and a Catholic Church planning session, plus workshops for immigrant pastoral leaders.

Partners in the Gospel Regional Community Gathering (Aug. 26 | Seattle | Community)

The Archdiocese of Seattle’s Partners in the Gospel planning team will host a regional community gathering Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish. The session will review the archdiocese’s strategic pastoral planning process, known as One Parish Planning, including its timeline and progress to date, before opening for questions. Organizers describe the gathering as a prayerful reflection on efforts to renew parish life across Western Washington. Details

IANDS Conference 2026 (Aug. 27-30 | Bellevue, Washington | Community)

The International Association for Near-Death Studies hosts its annual conference Thursday, Aug. 27, through Sunday, Aug. 30, with a pre-conference day Aug. 26, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way NE. The gathering — billed as the world’s largest in-person event on near-death experiences — draws experiencers, researchers, health care professionals and mental health providers for presentations on personal accounts and scientific theory. Roots of a Nation Film and Folklife Festivals (Aug. 28-29 | Moscow, Idaho | Community)

Roots of a Nation brings together film and folklife festivals exploring how American and Idaho history is remembered, challenged and carried forward. On August 28–29, the Kenworthy Theatre will host three films with scholar-led discussions. On Aug. 29, the free Folklife Festival at the 1912 Center features live music, storytelling, cultural demonstrations and family activities. Details

Clear Mountain Buddhist Monastery: Meditation, Teaching & Social (Aug. 29 | Seattle | Interfaith)

Saint Mark’s Cathedral will host the Clear Mountain Buddhist Monastery community for a weekly gathering Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9:30 a.m. to noon in Skinner Auditorium, 1501 10th Ave. E. The morning opens with a guided sit from 9:30-10 a.m., followed by a Dhamma teaching and Q&A from 10-11 a.m. and an optional coffee social from 11 a.m. to noon. The gathering is designed to welcome a range of practices, from Buddhist meditation to centering prayer, and remote participants may join via Zoom or YouTube livestream. Details

From Border to Pulpit: Nurturing the Call of Immigrant Pastoral Leaders (Aug. 29 | Seattle | Community)

The Pacific Northwest Conference of The United Methodist Church will host a four-hour workshop Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 9001 19th Ave. SW, for Hispanic/Latinx leaders and young people exploring the candidacy process for pastoral ministry. The workshop aims to help participants reflect on God’s call within their cultural experience, understand the challenges of immigrant pastoral leadership and build relationships with mentors and peers. North Idaho Women’s Conference: ‘Let Yourself Be Loved’ (Sept. 19 | Coeur d’Alene, Idaho | Community)

The North Idaho Women’s Conference presents “Let Yourself Be Loved,” inspired by St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn, 506 West Appleway Ave. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., with the conference running from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Speakers include Leila Marie Lawler, the Rev. Nicholas Eichman, FSSP, the Rev. John Audino, FSSP, and Anne Marie Vogel. Admission is $80 and includes lunch; babies in arms are welcome. Registration closes Aug. 29. Details
