Croy, of Coeur d’Alene, considers himself a progressive Christian and leans on the writings of GK Chesterton, Paul Tillich, Martin Buber, Edward Schillebeeckx and John Shelby Spong.
He says his faith journey has been “choppy.” He grew up in a secular home, then became a born-again Christian, then an atheist, and has now found his way back to Christianity.
Together he and his wife have four children.
