Dressing modestly is definitely a year-round activity for me.

It often involves finding something I like, then figuring out how to modify it or wear something with it. I have a plethora of tank tops and camisoles to wear under shirts or dresss that are too low for my comfort.

The Church of the Nazarene asks people to dress modestly, but doesn't actually spell out what that might mean, so it tends to be pretty subjective.

I learned a good lesson yesterday, though: I should not try to wear a tank top (with nothing over it, such as a t-shirt) while weeding the yard. I have a rather mild sunburn that is perfectly tank top shaped! Perhaps some of my modest clothing is not so much about faith as it is about fair skin!

I have often wondered why modesty is a double standard. It is acceptable for a man to be half naked, but not so much for women (though depending on how small a bikini might be, some women test the boundaries of this standard). In my opinion, that is more skin than I would like to see on either sex.
