There are several types of psychics. Psychic abilities range from future sight to mind-reading, with a whole range of potential abilities in between. One of those is speaking to (or otherwise communicating with) the dead.
The ones that communicate with the dead are mediums.
A medium aims to channel your dead loved one. Some mediums claim to be possessed by the person who has passed, while others claim to speak to them or feel them when they’re in the same room.
Some mediums use channeling tools like cards, spirit boards, or ghostwriting (in this context, this means having a ghost control their writing on a blank piece of paper). Others don’t use tools and instead use their intuition.
Will a Psychic Medium Always be Able to Reach My Loved One?
This is tricky. If you’re seeing a medium and not doing it for fun, you probably have a vested interest in communicating with someone from the great beyond. If this is the case, you may be worried about being disappointed and leaving empty-handed, so to speak.
Even the best psychic medium can’t guarantee that they’ll be able to contact the person that you’re trying to hear from. There are several reasons for this.
Some mediums may claim that your loved one isn’t in the room at the time. Spirits are busy and they have places to be. With a whole wide world to roam, they may not be nearby.
Some spirits may pass on, meaning that they don’t have a tight connection to the earthly realm. Others may be overshadowed by louder spirits trying to get attention.
Whatever the cause, when you get a reading, go into it with the knowledge that you may leave without making that connection. Cautious optimism is the way to go.
