On Feb. 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Second Harvest will host a gourmet cooking class featuring Dane Rice of Charlie’s Produce.
He will teach participants how to make Spanish lentil salad with arugula and Dijon caper dressing, Tuscan kale soup with potatoes and Italian sausage, and chocolate avocado truffles.
Cost for the class is $40 and proceeds will go toward helping low-income residents in Spokane take a free community cooking class at The Kitchen, at Second Harvest. The mission at The Kitchen is, “to provide nutrition information, scratch cooking skills, budgeting, and more to those in need.”
