Today we're launching a new weekly feature, per the suggestion of our writers.
Part of our mission is to spark dialogue in this community about faith and ethics. This dialogue, we believe, can lead to changed minds, better understanding, an increase in interfaith work and a more tolerant community.
Lots of thought-provoking conversations are happening on this site, but with all of our exciting content, sometimes it's easy to miss the discussions. So our writers suggested we publish a weekly “Featured Conversation” where we recap the story, blog or column that's gotten the most comments.
This week, that topic happens be on polyamory. In his “Father Knows Best” column Rev. Martin Elfert answered a readers question — is it OK to be in a polyamorous relationship. Elfert advised the reader to pick one partner and go all in. Our readers, however, didn't all agree.
Gail said monogamous relationships aren't for everyone. Sam and Bruce agreed.
Eric, however, did not. He said people are choosing to do what's right in their own eyes, rather than what's right in God's eyes. Others said polyamorous relationships simply won't work.
We invite you to join this discussion. What are your thoughts?
