The Mevlevi Order of America Seattle Circle hosts its weekly Monday zikr gathering, Sept. 14, from 7:30-9 p.m. at the ICS Sanctuary, 1763 NW 62nd St., with an option to join via Zoom. Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration (Sept. 14 | Spokane, Washington | Hindu)
Spokane Hindu Temple and Cultural Center invites the community to join them in welcome Vighnaharta, Mangal Murti and Shri Ganapati Bappa into their Temple on Monday, Sept. 14, from 6-8:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring the following items to offer to Ganapati Bappa: milk, yogurt, flowers and fruits. Kol Ami hosts a Kabbalat Shabbat service via Zoom Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m., featuring Libby Watson, campaign manager for No Hate in Washington State, a statewide effort combating hate and discrimination with particular attention to transgender youth. Country Homes Blvd. The free event features song leader Wes Hershberger, organist Jon Van Vogt on the historic Wurlitzer Hope-Jones Theatre organ and pianist Kathy Jones. Fall Equinox Celebration & Cosmic Sound Journey (Sept. 20 | Bellingham, Washington | Spirituality)
The Majestic Ballroom hosts a Fall Equinox gathering Sunday, Sept. 20, from 3-5 p.m., featuring sound healing, ritual and gentle movement led by Ruby Koa, Jay Darling, Susan Powell and Reiki practitioner Rachel Buckley. The event opens with an honoring of the land and ancestors, followed by gentle yoga and breath work, then a 60- to 70-minute sound journey using gongs, singing bowls and other instruments, concluding with tea and community time.
