Singer-songwriter Jason Moon is an Iraq War veteran who uses science, humor, storytelling to tell his personal experience in a 90 minute entertaining and educational message about how returning post-traumatic stress disorder and military sexual trauma affects veterans, families and entire communities, according to a press release.
On Saturday, beginning at 7:30 p.m., at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane Moon will share about his struggle with depression, isolation and an eventual suicide attempt. He’ll also offer practical tips about how civilians can listen to and communicate with veterans, deepening understanding and reducing isolation.
