Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will be hosting a Day of Prayer titled “Relentless Prayer, Restless Heart: Saints Monica & Augustine”on Aug. 27 with the Rev. Lucas Tomson, pastor of Our Lady of the Valley in Okanogan.

Tomson will lead guests on a journey back to the fourth and fifth centuries to meet two saints from the early church: Monica and her son Augustine, according to a news release.

The Day of Prayer will begin with a rosary at 9 a.m. and will include two conferences, confessions, Mass and lunch. After lunch there will be the second conference and the day will close with Adoration at 3:00 p.m.

Cost for the Day of Prayer is $35 per person, or $45 with the use of a private room. Register at (509) 448-1224 or www.IHRC.net.
