At 6 p.m. on March 21 The Book Parlor will show “Miss Represenation,” a documentary that “exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America.”
It tells stories from teenage girls and includes interviews from politicians, journalists, entertainers, activists and academics, including Condoleezza Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, Margaret Cho, Rosario Dawson and Gloria Steinem.
A discussion will follow the viewing, facilitated by The Rev. Liv Larson Andrews.
