On Dec at 7 p.m. Spokane’s Youth for Christ (YFC) will present the “Resiliency Project,” an event which allows at-risk and impoverished teenagers to share their stories through creative arts. The event will be held at the Bing Crosby Theatre and tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at ticketswest.com or at the door. There will be a social hour at 6 p.m.
The Spokane Youth for Christ program began in 1955. Since then, they have been responsible for providing mentors, activities, and a safe environment for vulnerable teenagers. YFC aims to bring the love of Jesus to every person they encounter through prayer and community, according to its website.
The “Resiliency Project: A Story of Life in Unlikely Places” will allow students at YFC an opportunity to share their stories of adversity and transformation. It will also serve as a fundraising event for the organization, which is locally funded and operated.
