As horrible as it seems, there are still heartless people out there who have the nerve to show it in the wake of a terrible tragedy.

While I was outside with Misty (my dog) on the day of the Connecticut shooting, I started talking with another resident in our complex. We started talking about the shooting. I told him that as a parent I was horrified that so many children were killed. The guy looks at me and says (I'm not joking), “It's my belief that God arranged for those children to die so that they don't become killers when they get older.”

I wanted to hit him, but instead  looked at him and said, “Now, I know why you're still single…”. The guy glared at me and walked away.

By the way, Misty was growling at the guy the entire time I was talking to him.
