There is a non-violent solution

The 12th anniversary of 9/11 is upon us and our country is on the brink of taking military action against Syria. It makes me wonder if the powers that be (Obama, Kerry, Congress) ever think about responding to evil in the world without using violence.

Evil exists because we allow it

It has long troubled me that the word "good" has two antonyms: "bad" and "evil." Like there isn't a more potent level of "good" to be the opposite of "evil," to stand against evil. All "good" has going for itself against evil is small, comparatively — yet somehow, not inadequate.
