On Thanksgiving faith communities celebrate differences, raise money for food bank

“If God ever wanted sameness, every tree would be the same height and gray would be the only color we’d ever know,” said Baldev Singh on Thanksgiving Day as he spoke to about 150 people about the glory of the differences within humanity.

He was the keynote speaker at the 2012 Spokane Interfaith Council 2nd Harvest Thanksgiving Service, which was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane.

Interfaith Thanksgiving service to focus on being grateful for our differences

This year's interfaith Thanksgiving service, organized by the Spokane Interfaith Council, will focus on "Giving Thanks for our Differences."

The program will be at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 22) at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane.
