Today one student was killed and three injured in a shooting at Freeman High School, just south of Spokane, according to the Spokesman-Review.
In response, St. John‘s Cathedral will host a prayer vigil tonight for all those affected by the shooting.
The vigil will be from 7-8 p.m.
Details about the shooting are still emerging.
“Our hearts are broken by the events at Freeman High School this morning. This is a terrible day for the students, parents, teachers, administrators and the rest of that close-knit community. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this horrendous tragedy. First responders in our region are one team,” Spokane Mayor David Condon said in a statement.
