Today Whitworth (April 2) will host the Rev. Brian Kolodiejchuk to speak about his books and his close association with Mother Teresa. The event, titled “Spiritual Values in a Commercial World” will be held at 7 p.m. in the teaching theater in Weyerhaeuser Hall.
Kolodiejchuk’s best selling book, “Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light” focuses on the nun’s personal reflections, including moments of doubt and despair, as well hope and charity, according to a Whitworth press release. Kolodiejchuk also authored “Jesus is My All in All: Praying with the ‘Saint of Calcutta’” and other works.
Kolodiejchuk knew Mother Teresa for 20 years, beginning in 1977, joined her religious family and was the postulator for her cause for sainthood. His lecture is meant to give insight to the thought and reflections of Mother Teresa and use her works to provide a warning against selfishness and consumerism.
The lecture will be free and is open for the public.
