The NAACP and the Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs is inviting the community to join in a forum that will address school suspension and exclusion policies in Spokane Public Schools.
According to an announcement, this is a follow up discussion to last year’s School to Prison Pipeline panel discussion held by the NAACP. Following last year’s discussion, Spokane Public Schools created the Community Action Team, which has been working the past year on reviewing policy and formulating recommendations to the School Board and the School Administration.
This Community Forum is free and open to the public and will be held at the Davenport Hotel in the Early Bird Room.

1:45 p.m. – Sheriff Knezovich
2:00 p.m. – Students & Parents Discussion Panel
