FāVS News is the Inland Northwest’s leading nonprofit digital publication dedicated to covering faith, values and ethics. We foster dialogue across diverse faith communities to bridge divisions and build understanding.

Position Overview
We are seeking an outgoing and self-motivated sponsorship representative to help sustain our journalism through community partnerships. In this part-time role, you will act as an ambassador for FāVS News, cultivating relationships with houses of worship, businesses, and mission-aligned nonprofits to secure advertising and sponsorship underwriting.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage: Identify and visit local organizations (churches, nonprofits, and businesses) to introduce them to FāVS News.
  • Consultative selling: Present sponsorship and underwriting packages that help organizations reach our engaged audience while supporting our mission.
  • Relationship management: Maintain a portfolio of active sponsors and ensure they feel valued.
  • Record keeping: Track outreach activity and sales progress in our tracking system.
  • Ambassadorship: Represent FāVS News professionally at community events and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to speak confidently with diverse faith and community leaders.
  • Drive: Self-motivated and comfortable working independently to meet revenue goals.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, fundraising, or community outreach is helpful, but we are willing to train the right personality.
  • Local knowledge: Familiarity with the Spokane faith community landscape is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of FāVS News: must understand and be passionate about our mission.
  • Requirements: Reliable transportation for local travel and access to a computer/email.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $20/hour
  • Commission: +10% commission on all completed sponsorship sales
  • Hours: 10-15 hours per week
