Position Overview
We are seeking an outgoing and self-motivated sponsorship representative to help sustain our journalism through community partnerships. In this part-time role, you will act as an ambassador for FāVS News, cultivating relationships with houses of worship, businesses, and mission-aligned nonprofits to secure advertising and sponsorship underwriting.

Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage: Identify and visit local organizations (churches, nonprofits, and businesses) to introduce them to FāVS News.
- Consultative selling: Present sponsorship and underwriting packages that help organizations reach our engaged audience while supporting our mission.
- Relationship management: Maintain a portfolio of active sponsors and ensure they feel valued.
- Record keeping: Track outreach activity and sales progress in our tracking system.
- Ambassadorship: Represent FāVS News professionally at community events and meetings.
Qualifications
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to speak confidently with diverse faith and community leaders.
- Drive: Self-motivated and comfortable working independently to meet revenue goals.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, fundraising, or community outreach is helpful, but we are willing to train the right personality.
- Local knowledge: Familiarity with the Spokane faith community landscape is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of FāVS News: must understand and be passionate about our mission.
- Requirements: Reliable transportation for local travel and access to a computer/email.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $20/hour
- Commission: +10% commission on all completed sponsorship sales
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week
