Singing and Dancing for Universal Peace

The Interfaith Community Sanctuary will host an interactive evening of interfaith chants, sacred movements and live music on July 17 from 7-9 p.m. at ICS (1763 NW 62nd St.). More information here.
Seattle Indian Days Powwow
July 17-19 | Seattle | Cultural Event
This gathering of Native American, Canadian First Nations and Indigenous communities celebrates cultural traditions through song, dance and community. More information online. The event is open to the public and free, although donations are welcome.
Washington Neighborhood Defense Training & Canvass
July 18 | Spokane | Social Justice
Peace and Justice Action League Spokane reports a surge in ICE activity and will train volunteers on July 18 to equip Spokane businesses with know-your-rights materials and rapid-response tools. Register here.
Finding Common Ground on Screen Time in Schools

Braver Angels in Everett is hosting people from across the political spectrum to seek common ground on the right amount of screen time in public schools. The event will be held at the Robert J. Annual Obon Summer Festival
July 19 | Spokane | Buddhist
Celebrate Japanese culture at the Spokane Buddhist Temple’s annual Obon Summer Festival on July 19 from 1–7 p.m. at 927 S. Perry St. and Grant Park. Enjoy handmade Japanese food, crafts, games, cultural demonstrations, a Buddhist service, Bon Odori dancing, a kimono contest and family-friendly fun. Everyone is welcome. More information online.
