“8,” a play about the constitutionality of marriage and California’s Proposition 8 will take the stage at The Bing Crosby Theater at 8 p.m. on Aug. 8.
The 90-minute play, written by Academy Award-winning author Dustin Lance Black, documents the Perry vs. Schwarzenegger trial using court transcripts and first-hand interviews.
Following the play will be a panel discussion with Charlene Strong, advocate for social justice and civil rights, Elizabeth W. Goldstein, assistant professor of religious studies at Gonzaga University her partner Rabbi Tamar Malino, executive director of Spokane Area Jewish Family Services.
