What was so impactful that they couldn’t move from their seats?  We were nearly in tears listening to an NPR news story about the heart wrenching stories of the abuse of migrant children in detention centers.

POEM: Fully Known, Fully Loved

Sometimes I wonder if God hides our sinfulness from each other so we can stand to be around one another

POEM: Oneness

We are all more one than we can ever realize

Poem: The Courage To Sing

...and birds chirping in the background on this cold winter morning as if to taunt me with their joy and song and carefree nature

POEM: Stillpoint

As I drew closer I saw the canvas was blank and in bewilderment I asked, “what are you doing?” and the man laughed as he replied, “I'm painting can't you see” “But you have no paint” I retorted, “the canvas is empty” The artist replied with a smile, “Oh, that's because you look only for the art that is visible”

POEM: The Gift of the Present Moment

Remember the gift of the Now with its timelessness preciousness

POEM: Remember who you truly are

We are a species of contradictions So intelligent, so powerful, with minds and hearts and creativity and ability so wide yet vulnerable and perhaps blind to our shadow side
