I take a small leap here and assume that by “morality” you mean roughly a system of values that embraces the worth of people and the communities in which they live, and which as well respects the rights of other people and communities insofar as they do not attempt to do harm to those unlike them.
One of the issues facing Christianity today is that people are looking at this faith, and perhaps more particularly the Bible as though it were an “either/or” proposition.
The influence of Christianity in this country is such that Christmas became something that Hanukkah never became, a civil, as well as a religious festival.
