She is a proud progressive and serves a dynamic inclusive congregation in the city’s first church, founded 134 years ago. CastroLang and her church are pushing back against the culture of judgment, meanness and corruption that are the stereotype of Christianity, she said. She looks for opportunities to build on the good that is in people and in the world.
