The Global Day of Jewish Learning, a weekend of Jewish study, will take place today through Sunday Temple Beth Shalom, 1322 E. 30th Ave. The year the event will explore parental love, sibling rivalries and true love.

It will kick off today at 7 p.m. with a special joint service with Congregation Emanu-El and then continue Saturday at 7 p.m. with Havadalah, two discussions and oneg.

On Sunday youth programs will begin at 9:45 a.m. and adult sessions will begin at 10 a.m. Sessions are:

  • Rabbi F. Roston—Finding Faith Within Our Hearts: Loving God & Loving Ourselves
  • Rabbi E. Goldstein—Balancing Love and Obedience: The Curious Case of Nadav and Avihu
  • Rabbi T. Malino— Loving the Ger: Who is the Stranger in our Midst?

After the sessions lunch will be provided for $5 per person, for $18 per family.

The day will conclude with a community art project.
