FāVS News is seeking a detail-oriented Web/SEO Specialist to manage our daily digital content operations. This remote position offers flexible scheduling while maintaining our commitment to timely, optimized news delivery.
Position Details
- Compensation: $20 per hour
- Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Remote
- Schedule: Daily posting required; weekend content can typically be scheduled in advance
Key Responsibilities
- Post news articles and columns to our WordPress-based website daily
- Add photographs, hyperlinks and multimedia elements to enhance story presentation
- Optimize all content for search engines using current SEO best practices
- Ensure all published content adheres to AP Style guidelines
- Respond promptly to breaking news situations with timely web updates
- Maintain consistent publishing schedule while accommodating urgent content needs
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with WordPress content management system
- Strong understanding of journalistic writing principles
- Thorough knowledge of Associated Press Style
- Demonstrated experience with SEO optimization techniques and tools
- Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines
- Flexibility to handle breaking news and urgent updates outside regular hours
