FāVS News is launching a new community book club this spring, aiming to engage readers with works by its contributing writers.
The four-week series will begin April 2 and run through April 30, meeting Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. Discussions will be held online and will center on “Giving Up God: Resurrecting a Spirituality of Love and Wonder” by FāVS columnist Sarah Henn Hayward.
Participants will read the book in four sections, with the first portion assigned ahead of the April 2 kickoff. The final session on April 30 will feature a live Q&A with Hayward.
The book club is part of a renewed effort to create space for community conversation after a previous attempt saw limited participation. Future sessions are expected to rotate through other FāVS contributors who have published books.
Readers who purchase the book through Wishing Tree Books will also support both the bookstore and FāVS, which will receive a portion of the proceeds.
