Poem by Christi Ortiz | FāVS News

I could be an Ocean
to consume you with my love

But I might just come to you
as a tiny drop
to wet your lips
and let you long for more
so you come
in search for that which your heart knows
to be true,
to be in fact: you

and when you step out
into the voyage
to find me,
when you cast into the deep
to discover
what your heart yearns for,

You will find me
in the whisper of your breath
and the sound of the wind
as it sways through the trees
Almost silently, singing,
“I am with you, wherever you go ...”

You will find me in the kiss of a sweet peach
ripe,
juicy
and ready to be tasted

You will feel me in the wrap of the forest surrounding you with the fullness of life, which is love

And thus you will find me
in the Ocean of love
at the base of your heart.
Its wake crashing in your body
and upon the shore of life around you.

I could be an Ocean
to consume you with my love

But I might just come to you
as a tiny drop to lead you
like footsteps
into the Ocean of your heart.

Absolutely beautiful!
You describe God’s desire for us and our response as only those that know Him could.
