Christians were among one of the first to utilize the new technology of codex to get their message out. Christians have since been a faith that used the the latest technology to get the Gospel out. They were among the first to use radio, then TV. They are now using  the Internet. I currently access sermons from Sam Wells, a pastor in London, online. His understanding of the Gospel helps me understanding of the Gospel.

The difference today is that many of the newer technologies can drive us into a private and virtual world. The rise of depression and a sense of isolation that the new technology can make can make us forget how to connect with each other in personal ways. Technology does not lead us to disconnect, but online connections can weaken our connection to each other and God. There is no God app for being with God and love is not an app.

Technology can enhance the first two types, but the last one is beyond technology. The first two are important, and the the last one is where we find our deepest self and where true spirituality is found.
