Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will host an Advent of Prayer entitled, “Journey to Christmas” led by the Rev. David Kuttner on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The day will focus on preparing for Christmas and the new liturgical year with a peaceful, gentle day, taking time to contemplate Christ’s Incarnation and the human journey to Bethlehem, according to a press release.

Kuttner is the pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Tekoa and St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, Oakesdale.  He also serves as priest in residence and as a spiritual director at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center in Spokane.

The Day of Prayer will begin with a Rosary at 9:00 a.m. and will include two conferences, lunch, the sacrament of Reconciliation and Mass. The Day of Prayer will close with Adoration. Cost is $35 per person includes lunch, (or $45 which also includes use of a private room for the day).  Register in advance by calling (509) 448-1224 or online at www.ihrc.net
