jailbars_flickrThe Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane is teaming up with Smart Justice Spokane and I Did the Time to invite those in the community who have experienced the realities of the criminal justice system to share their stories through the Smart Justice PhotoVoice Project.

The project aims to answer, “How does your experience with the criminal justice system show that the system is not working, or how does your experience provide a unique example of how it could be done differently?,” according to an announcement.

Open to those with direct system experience or to their family members, the project will be a five to seven month commitment for those who decide to participate, with support and training provided.

Those interested are invited to learn more on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for “There’s No Voice Like Your Voice,” in the Community Building’s mezzanine conference room, 35 W. Main.

RSVP to Liz Moore at lmoore@pjals.org or 838-7870.
