The YMCA will host the first annual surviveSTRONG uniteSTRONG community conference for cancer survivors and their support persons. In conjunction with the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program and LIVESTRONG Foundation, the conference will be today at the Central Spokane YMCA from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. The conference structure and content are the direct result from surveying area survivors who noted gaps in post-treatment education and support.

More than a dozen workshops, classes and presentations will explore: Therapeutic Writing, Parenting, Young Survivors, Stress Release, Exercise, Sexuality, Nutrition and Community Resources.
