On April 19, Dr. David Tauben, clinical professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Chief of Pain Medicine at the University of Washington, will present on chronic pain treatment and the opioid epidemic. Dr. Tauben is “one of the country’s top experts in pain medicine,” according to Darryl Potyk, M.D., who will be giving opening remarks.

“The Opioid Epidemic” is part of a series of free lectures called “Next Generation Medicine,” presented by the UW School of Medicine-Gonzaga University Regional Health Partnership. Opening remarks will be made by Dr. Potyk, chief of medical education for the UWSOM-GU Partnership, and Courtney Law, Ph.D., director of the partnership.

Admission is free but prior registration is required. The lecture will be held on April 19 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane.
