For their Ash Wednesday service Wednesday night, the West Central Abbey began their reflection of the 40 days of Lent by discussing death.

The West Central Abbey recently launched the West Central Farmers Market’s first season. Held on the first Tuesdays of each month from June through October, the market will be open from 4-7 p.m. at 1832 W. Dean Avenue in Spokane.

Even though the recent surge in COVID cases has resulted in further restrictions and social distancing during the holidays, churches throughout Spokane are finding the means to celebrate Advent and support each other while keeping at a safe distance.

So after much discussion and planning, the ministry has been re-branded as The West Central Abbey.
