Break the Silence Sunday: A powerful worship service dedicated to listening and supporting victims of abuse and violence.

Santa Express began as a project of a group of women in the Junior League of Spokane who wanted to do something to support the Vanessa Behan crisis shelter. The organization was founded five years earlier in 1987 as a community response to the tragic death of a child at the hands of domestic abuse.

The church is the body of Christ. The body is hiding— broken, bleeding, bruised and scarred. Someone who promised to care and feed her ate her instead.
