Spokane joined hundreds of cities and towns across the country that held a “No Kings Day” protest on Saturday.

The event, organized by 50501, called on Americans to join the fight to uphold the Constitution and end executive overreach — while remaining peaceful.

The protest coincided with the second day of Pride and started an hour after the Stonewall Rally, where stories were shared about how the current administration is affecting local Spokane County residents. Protesters gathered at 4 p.m. at the Big Red Wagon in Riverfront Park.

After about an hour, the event participants took to the streets of Downtown Spokane.

Thanks for this photo essay, Morgan. Glad to see a large No Kings protest in Spokane. Shocked to see a Confederate flag at a counter protest. Proud to say that Moscow also had a large No Kings protest.
