Oh God, heal our mistaken notions
that you could somehow be a distant creator
that holds yourself apart
from that which your Love has made

May we feel in our bones
that we are nothing other than You
the holy One who gives Life
to All that Is

May we allow the fullness of your Spirit
to billow into us
so that your fullness and wholeness
might become our living and being

May we remain in the Vine
the life force that animates us
so that what flows from You
is You in Us

I’m not a believer, but I love the way this poem is like a prayer for a deeper sense of connection with all that is.
