Poem: Divine fire that is you

Guest poem by Christi Ortiz | of Harmony Woods Retreat Center

You think the flickers high in the night sky

Are the only stars that in blazing bright lie

If only you knew your being is an explosion of love

Divine Light burst into you

If you knew, you might wear a crown on your head

Of joy and laughter and delight

You might walk lightly on this precious earth body you house

You might gently love everything you touch into more love, into more of Itself

You might dance into the knowing

that giving and receiving are the same thing

The freedom you flow in, the grace you glow in,

the Truth you live from, and the wisdom you are

Is the sovereignty that rules your days

that guards your thoughts and directs your path

You trod with gentle confidence,

formidable strength, and peaceful allowance

As love is the North Star that burns in your heart

And fuels that divine fire that is you
