A memorial for Tom Foley, former speaker of the House will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 1 at St. Aloysius Church, 330 E. Boone Ave.

Foley, a Spokane native who served 30 years in the House and also served as U.S. ambassador to Japan, died Oct. 18 in Washington, D.C., of complications of a stroke.

Another memorial service for Foley will be held next week at the U.S. Capitol.
