FLI_112013_socksThis month, the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) has invited 1,100 or more poor and homeless people to their Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 27 at the Spokane Convention Center, according to a press release. Before that date, they are asking the community to make donations that will help keep the dinner guests warm this winter.

The UGM is asking for donations of new men’s warm socks and waterproof gloves to hand out to the guests at their Thanksgiving dinner since the largest number of their dinner guests are usually men, and the UGM always runs out of items to give them.

Donations may be brought the the UGM administration office at 1224 E. Trent Ave.
