BRIEF: Temple Beth Shalom to have Hanukkah service Dec. 14 1

Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, will begin at sunset on Dec. 8 and will end at nightfall Dec. 17.

Temple Beth Shalom will celebrate with a special “Ancient Wisdom Modern Words” service on Dec. 14 at 5:45 p.m. The evening will also include Keshet Consecration and a time of celebration with the youth as they receive their torah scrolls.

According to the temple, services will be followed with a dairy potluck, latkes and jelly donuts. Guests are asked to bring a vegetarian potluck item to share.
