Why don’t Muslims worship on Saturdays?
Muslims perform five daily obligatory prayers (Fard Salat) from dawn to night, supplemented by optional (Nawafil) prayers in remembrance of God throughout the week, including Saturdays.
Friday is uniquely significant as it is marked by the obligatory congregational prayer (Jummah Salat), establishing it as Islam’s principal day of communal worship.
Further reading on Friday and Sabbath can be found in one of my previous Ask a Muslim at FāVS News.
