Is there such a thing as a “Lord Rabbi?”
In the sense of “Lord” as a British title, yes there are rabbis who have been knighted. Rabbi Sacks is a Brittish rabbi and the former Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth. His full official title is Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks.
In the sense of “Lord” as a master, no. There are rabbis who are the head of certain groups, but there is no pope-like position in Judaism.
There is also no book titled “Lord of the Rabbis” which is a shame because that’s something I’d love to read. One kippah to rule them all.
The Sith Lord Rabbi is to be avoided, because, y’know, ruthless and homicidal.
