First Woman Executive Presbyter of INW Wins Distinguished Ministry Leadership Award

The Rev. Sheryl Kinder-Pyle, the executive presbyter of the Presbytery of the Inland Northwest, recently received Whitworth University’s Distinguished Ministry Leadership Award in recognition of her work leading one of the larger denominations in the region.

Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will be offering a weekend retreat this month on the Holy Spirit.

Led by the Rev. Mitch Pacwa, the event titled “The Holy Spirit in Scripture and in Our Lives,” will examine how the Holy Spirit is active in the creation of one’s life.

According to a press release, “What areas of your being need the enlightenment and work of the Spirit to activate them? How can you live a richer and fuller life with the assistance of the Holy Spirit?”

Pacwa is a biblical scholar and is best known for his appearances on EWTN.

The retreat will be Feb. 17-19. Cost is $196 per person, $302 for couples or $110 for commuters.
