Why do I bother? Why does anyone bother? The senseless rampages that continue to claim dozens of victims, including children, go on and on. It is clear the country simply does not care. We are a nation of the armed. Gun sales continue to rise. And there is no meaningful effort to stem the tide. In point of fact, it really does not matter.
In observance of the “National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims”, the Spokane County Victim-Witness Unit in the Prosecutor’s Office is organizing a vigil for Sept. 25 and a memorial display on Sept. 26.
In observance of the “National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims”, the Spokane County Victim/Witness Unit has announced it will hold a vigil on Sept.19 in the County Commissioner’s Hearing Room on the lower level of the Public Works Building (1026 W. Broadway Ave.) from 5:30-7 p.m.
