There is a growing movement in the evangelical form of Christianity, and it is being heralded by an up-and-coming theologian named Dr. Michael Brown. I have heard relatively little from this man, but I can tell you that his message packs a punch, and it is only a matter of time before this guy takes the place of other great Bible bashers like RC Sproul and Norman Geisler.
It would be a very cogent discussion if the Bible were, like the Quran, written by one person over a relative brief time. But that is not our Christian or Hebrew Bible.
This week I celebrate meeting my wife and how my soul sings poetry. I wonder about why we have lost our poetic soul and it is ties to the rise of fundamentalism.
What if we have made an idol out of the Bible? How would we know it? Thankfully, I think the Bible contains information within it to help us understand if this is taking place or not.
