Geographers from Kansas State University have created a map using demographics of each of the Seven Deadly Sins and where they show up most intensely across the United States.
The map shows areas of intense sin in red and lesser amounts of each sin in degrees of blue.
On the maps for Greed, Envy, Sloth and Pride, parts of Washington in the red. For instance Envy was calculated using the total number of thefts — robbery, burglary, larceny and stolen cars.
Sloth, where only a little red showed on the Evergreen State, Sloth was calculated by comparing expenditures on arts, entertainment and recreation with the rate of employment.
Surprised by the results?
