When I traveled Southeast Asia in the early 70’s onboard a helicopter carrier I started out believing, in part, the propaganda about “them.” While there I found that the people I met had the same life desires as I had. We all wanted to raise our children and grandchildren in relative peace and with whatever comfort we may be able to earn.
With any TV program, the Pilot episode is the most complicated: it has to introduce the characters, the world, the plot and conflict lines, and “hook” the viewer into being interested before the first commercial break. Usually, pilots are only aired for the producers, to see if they want to fund the show. So, often, when the show gets to regular TV, viewers see the second intended episode first, rather than the first, which they don’t see at all.
Whew... the election is finally over, but what does it all mean? Is God happy? Disappointed? Angry? Indifferent? And how did religion play a role in the 2012 elections, if any?
No, the legalization of marijuana doesn't change my opinion regarding the morality of marijuana use. I was never of the belief that marijuana use was immoral.
No, the measure legalizing pot smoking does not change my mind about the morality of either Cannabis Sativa or its use. I don’t think any drugs are in and of themselves moral or immoral, but the purposes for which they are produced tell a different story.
