Barack Obama has been re-elected as the 44th president of the United States.

In his acceptance speech late Tuesday night he said, “Whether I earned your vote or not, I have listened to you, I have learned from you…I return to the White House more determined and more inspired than ever.”

The count, as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, stand at 303 electoral votes for Obama, to Romney's 206.
